๐ Privacy Policy โ Credit Ledger
This policy explains how the Credit Ledger: Debt Tracker mobile app ("the App"), developed by Sogepps, handles data.
In short
- The app has no account or sign-in, no ads and no in-app purchases. It also has no ad library, no analytics of our own and no server; as the developer we cannot access any of your data.
- Your customer and supplier lists, entries, cash records, business details and settings are stored only on your phone and are never sent to us.
- You export backup files, account statements (image or PDF), the ledger summary, CSV files and reminder messages yourself; they go only to the app or folder you choose.
- The app asks for the notification permission only to remind you of due dates (optional). It does not ask for camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage permissions.
- Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes all your records. In case you lose your phone, share a backup file now and then.
1. We don't collect personal data
We (Sogepps), the developer of Credit Ledger, do not collect your personal data or your customers' personal data, do not store it on our own servers and do not share it with anyone. The app has no account or sign-in, no ads, no in-app purchases and no analytics of our own.
2. Information that stays on your device
The customer and supplier details you add (name, phone, group, note), entries, cash records, products, business details (name, phone, IBAN, thank-you note, logo), settings and the hash of your PIN are stored only on your phone, in the app's local storage. This information is never sent to us. Every day the app makes an automatic backup copy on your phone (the last 14 days are kept); these copies also stay in the app's own folder.
If Android's device backup is turned on on your phone, Android may back up the app's data to your Google account under its own rules. Android does this, not us; we cannot access that backup and we do not see your data.
3. Files and messages you export
You export backup files, account statements (image or PDF), the ledger summary, CSV files and reminder messages yourself. They go only to the app or folder you choose in Android's share menu (for example a messaging, SMS, email or file app). Reminder messages are never sent automatically; you start every send. How those apps handle your data depends on their own privacy policies.
The messaging button on the reminder screen opens the message text and the customer's phone number with that service's web link; it is another app on your phone (a browser or a messaging app) that opens the link, and only when you tap the button. The "Call" button opens your phone's dialer. When you import a backup or a CSV file or pick a logo, only the file you choose is opened by the app.
4. Permissions
The app asks for the notification permission only to remind you on a due date; it is optional, and the app keeps working if you decline. To show notifications on time and to reschedule them when the phone restarts, the app also uses Android's alarm scheduling, boot-completed, wake-lock and vibration permissions. It does not ask for camera, microphone, location, contacts or storage permissions.
5. No ads and no purchases
The app has no ads and no in-app purchases, so no advertising ID, payment or card information is processed.
6. Internet access
The app works offline, does not connect to any server and does not send data. Because of the Android app framework the app's manifest lists the internet permission, but the app's code makes no network requests.
7. Children
Credit Ledger is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
8. Data deletion
All of your data stays on your device. You can delete your records permanently by uninstalling the app, by clearing the app's data in your Android settings, or with "Delete all data" in the app's Settings. There is no data on our servers to delete. Backups and files you exported earlier are outside the app, so you must delete them yourself; for a copy kept in an Android backup, use your Google account's backup settings.
