๐ Privacy Policy โ Castle Guardians
This policy explains how the Castle Guardians mobile game ("the Game"), developed by Sogepps, handles data.
In short
- The game shows ads: an occasional full-screen ad between battles (never in the first levels, and never for players who bought gold), plus a fully optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to double a battle's gold or get free gold in the shop.
- Google AdMob, which serves the ads, may process information as a third party such as an advertising ID, your IP address, device/app interaction data (ad impressions and clicks) and diagnostics.
- In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland you're asked for consent through Google's consent form on first launch; you can change that choice any time in Settings โ "Ad privacy options". Elsewhere, you can reset or delete your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in your Android settings.
- We (the developer) do not collect personal data ourselves; there's no account, sign-in or analytics of our own. Your game progress and settings stay only on your device.
- Optional gold packs are processed entirely by Google Play; we never see your payment details.
- The game requires an internet connection to play. That connection is also used for purchases through Google Play and for ads.
1. We don't collect personal data
We (Sogepps), the developer of Castle Guardians, do not collect your personal data, store it on our servers, or share it with anyone. There is no account or sign-in in the game, and we run no analytics of our own. The game shows ads; see section 3 below for what Google AdMob, as a third party, processes to serve them.
2. Information that stays on your device
Your game progress and settings are stored only on your device, in Android's local app storage. This information is never sent to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the game.
3. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The game is free and shows two kinds of ads through Google AdMob: an occasional full-screen ad between battles (never shown in the first levels, and never to players who have bought gold), and a fully optional rewarded video you can choose to watch to double a battle's gold or get free gold in the shop. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google AdMob, as a third party, may process information such as:
- Device identifiers such as the advertising ID
- Your IP address
- Device and app interaction data (ad impressions and clicks)
- Diagnostics
How Google uses this data is described in Google's ad technology page and the Google Privacy Policy.
4. Ad consent and your choices
Players in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown Google's consent form (UMP) on first launch and asked for their consent; you can change that choice any time under Settings โ "Ad privacy options".
Players elsewhere can reset or delete their advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in their Android settings (Settings โ Google โ Ads / Privacy โ Ads).
5. In-app purchases (gold packs)
You can optionally buy gold packs inside the game. These purchases are processed entirely by Google Play; we never see payment details such as card information. To deliver the gold you purchased, the app only receives an anonymous purchase token from Google Play, and it keeps that token on your device to avoid delivering the same purchase twice.
Google's privacy policy applies to payments: policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Internet access
The game requires an internet connection to play. This connection is also used to make purchases through Google Play and to show ads.
7. Children
Castle Guardians is not directed at children under 13. Ads are shown using Google's family-safe content rating settings.
